Dendrites- dendrites are extensions of the cell body of the neuron for recieving and processing the variety of synaptic inputs. Synapses occur directly on the shaft of some dendrites but others have specialized enlargements to receive the synaptic input.

 

Cell body- The cell body is the factory of the neuro.

conanuation- The job of the cell body is to control all functions of the cell. It contains many different organelles, that help it do that. The most important organelle is the nucleus. The nucleus contains the cells DNA and regulates all processes in the cell. The nucleus also contains nucleulus, which makes ribosomes needed for protein production.

 

Axon- An axon is a long, slender projection of a nerve cell. It conducts electrical impulses away from the neurons cell body. The function of the axon is to transmit information to different neurons, muscles and glands
